They’re Reading My Mind…

Frilly

Welcome to Frilly…a clothing atelier that lets you be the designer.

I don’t know about you…but how many times have you selected an item of clothing only to say, “I wish this item had long sleeves or different collar!”  Well…now you can play fashion designer!

Welcome to Frilly!  First, you select the particular clothing item…then you select the color of the fabric.  When that image comes up, you then have the option of changing the collar, sleeves, and hem!  Okay, how fabulous is that?

Mark Antonia Studio…

Dried 1

I LOVE featuring Artist Studios…this is another one that I found that’s really quite unique.  Antonia works with dried flowers.  I LOVE flowers…dried not so much!  But she puts such a unique spin on them…that I had to feature her.

Antonia works with the philosophy of “Wabi-Sabi”, another reason why I LOVE them.  That makes 3 elements of LOVE!  Flowers, Artisan, Wabi-Sabi!  Perfection.

Antonia hand selects each element and then glues them on the branch…the end result is very simple, clean and elegant!

Her price point is very modest for these handcrafted arrangements… though her shop is located in New Zealand-disappointment for us here in the states!

Who Doesn’t Like A Good Tile Job…

Encaus6Encaus4

When creating a new tile presentation or re-doing an old one…why not GO ENCAUSTIC?

If you’re designing a room or entire house most consumers main objective is to create something that is timeless.  This is virtually impossible, the only way you can possibly create timelessness is with pure white…but even with that color choice…tile and design sizes change through the decades.

For instance what you like now, might not be what you would like or fashionable 10 years from now.  Plus, the colorways that are currently strong, will not be the same tones desired 10 to 15 years from now.

Take green for example…90’s it was Sage Green, 2000’s it was Chartreuse Green’s, and now for 2010’s it Emerald Green.

So trying to stay classic and clean?  Stay neutral!

Though beige years are really “so last decade”, we are now currently enthralled with the gray tones.  Or dare I say “gray-eige”, for those who still embrace, tans and beige tones!

TILE ON!

Fusion of eclectic styling…old, new, modern and antiqued…fused into one fabulous interior presentation.

Adding what I feel is the most mandatory aspect of all in living spaces and that is “HYAGE”, pronounced hoo-ga…which is the Danish phrase for LIVING SIMPLY. Which entails, creating an incredibly warm and welcoming living space.

Bad Closet Doors to Bad Ass Closet Doors…

Closet Doors

This is such a great idea!  For those that have accordion doors…and can’t update to a barn door or just have no desire. This is such a FABULOUS idea!

Cover the doors in fabric and edge with a nail head trim. Genius!
