Travel, Create and Learn…

LM1

If you follow my blog…then you know that I have a friend traveling the world.  They’ve been going strong now for about 8 months…and they have 7 more months to go.

I don’t know if this type of traveling would be on my bucket list…but I definitely found something that would be…and that is L/M Retreats!

First on my list would be L/M’s trip to Formentera, Spain! This is straight from their website:

We’ll spend our days eating long meals together outdoors, learning photography & the art of visual storytelling, and enjoying conversation & discussion with one another as well as exploring all the island has to offer—sailing, fresh seafood, and gorgeous beaches. The villa we’ll call home during the retreat is a few minutes walk from a beach, and tapas, cava, and sun promise to be plentiful.

We plan to allow plenty of down time for reading & writing, napping, swimming, discussions, photo editing, sun bathing & sipping, or simply doing nothing at all. There will also be a watercolor painting class with a local artist, a sunset beach picnic, and a paella cookout.

The purpose of this retreat is to recharge, rejuvenate, relax, and reconnect. Creativity can only blossom if we allow ourselves to be still once in a while; we see more clearly when we slow down & ideas come fresh.

What this won’t be is a hectic, highly structured “workshop”—it’s truly a retreat.

Yes PLEASE!

Or how about Santorini, Greece

The days will largely be spent painting; lingering over meals together; learning & practicing photography; having group discussions; relaxing at the villa; and exploring the island. This is a retreat devoted to creating community & inspiration over slow food shared, creativity, and intentional discussion all while recharging in this luxurious perch nestled in the hills above the ancient Pyrgos village & surrounded by striking views of the cobalt Aegean Sea.

Run do not walk to L/M Retreats…because some trips for 2017 are already SOLD OUT!

These trips sound fantastic. They are in beautful spots and allow plenty of time for relaxation. I love that idea!
